Proof of Workers Safety and Insurance Board

Be reassured that The Beach Gardener Inc. has WSIB coverage. At The Beach Gardener, safety is the number one priority. We hold weekly safety meetings with all our employees to review/discuss safety issues and address any potential safety concerns. We also invite guest speakers from Farm Safety Association Inc. on a regular basis to train and re-train our staff on the Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) in addition to seasonal safety topics.

Liability

Accidents happen… Protecting our clients and ourselves from the expense of any unforeseen work place accidents that might damage client and/or neighbouring properties is of high priority. The Beach Gardener carries two million dollars ($2 000 000.00) general liability insurance, which includes coverage for bodily injury and property damage.

Warranty

All hardscapes, supplied and installed by The Beach Gardener are guaranteed for up to three years against defects in workmanship and materials. We also guarantee all plant material (woody and herbaceous perennials) that we supply for up to one year.

Human Resources

The Beach Gardener employs both permanent full time and seasonal staff. In an average year, we have 20 team members including 3 designers, 1 office manager, 1 operations manager, 2 project managers and 3 field supervisors. During the spring, summer, and fall, The Beach Gardener has 3 fully skilled landscape construction crews available for projects of any size.

Employees of The Beach Gardener have been carefully selected based on their educational attainment, relevant work experience and commitment to quality workmanship. Our well-trained staff includes Certified Landscape Designers, Horticulturalists, Licensed Carpenters, Certified Stonemasons and Certified Heavy Equipment Operators.

Equipment Resources

The Beach Gardener owns highly efficient and adequate equipment for all landscaping projects, some of which are specially designed for access into small urban yard spaces and others for large plant material / stone placement. To name a few, we have several tandem trucks and a multi lift truck with roll off bins, excavators, and skid steers. For carpentry, masonary and pool projects, we have all the tools and small equipment required for every task to ensure efficient project completion and quality workmanship.

Company Facilities

The Beach Gardener is proud to have a "homebase". We are situated at 254 Bartley Drive, Toronto, Ontario. We have a dedicated office for business administration, operations management, project coordination, and a 3000 square foot design studio. In addition to the acre of yard space reserved for our landscape nursery, bulk supplies, material staging and fleet logistics, we have a 7000 square foot woodworking and fabrication facility for prefabrication of carpentry and steel work, and for housing/maintenance of our equipment.
